My name is Jil-Marie and I split my time between Germany and Spain. I began painting in 2018. I enjoy working with natural materials, especially shells that I collect myself from the beach. I love all kinds of colours. I’m particularly fond of working with pastels, as they create a pleasant, soft and harmonious atmosphere.

In my abstract paintings, I express my feelings, imagination, and experiences from my travels. I mainly paint with acrylics, but since I always like to try new things, I also use oil and watercolours. It brings me great joy to experiment with colours on canvas and to create something new. I experience a wonderful sense of freedom, happiness and relaxation while doing so. For me, art brings beauty, lightness and joy of life into the world. I would love to share a bit of this feeling with you too.
